Penny has 10 years of clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian and can empower you to implement dietary changes in simple and realistic steps and experience the positive difference in your quality of life. Our food choices are typically driven by our emotions, environment, and habits that we've created over time. Penny is flexible and person centred with her treatment approach, as no two recovery journeys are the same.

Penny offers up to date, comprehensive, evidence-based advice for both adolescents and adults, across several areas:

Background Information:

Penny has worked as a Lead Eating Disorders Dietitian with adult inpatients and outpatients with eating disorders since 2016. She also worked with a Digital healthcare company specialising in Diabetes and Weight Management, alongside her private practice, managing clients with various health concerns. She currently works as a Lead Eating Disorders Dietitian with children and adolescent outpatients in the NHS Glasgow team.

Penny has significant experience working with clients with may also have co existing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, OCD, mood difficulties, personality disorder, trauma, ensuring a holistic approach. If you are seeing a psychologist as well for your condition, they will be working closely with Penny to ensure an optimal for you treatment plan. Penny has received additional training in CBT, DBT and motivational interviewing which is integrated in her clinical practice.

Penny is registered with the Health Care Professions Council HCPC, British Dietetic Association. Penny is an active member of several specialist dietetic groups (Mental Health, Diabetes, Weight Management, Obesity and Weight Management) and regularly contributes with case study presentations, reviewing patient resources and policies.

Qualifications:

  • PG Cert in Eating Disorders (distinction)
  • Certified to use Guided Self Help for Disordered Eating
  • MSc in Human Nutrition with specialisation in Obesity and Weight Management
  • BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics (distinction)

Appointments availability:

  • Mondays - Thursdays: 8:30am-5pm
  • Limited Saturday and evening appointments are also available on request.
